Sin City is back in action. Entertainment in Las Vegas is in full effect and the month of August promises many exciting shows. There are plenty of vibrant options available for everyone. Whether you are craving comedy, music, magic, or theater, Vegas has it all. If you are a Vegas resident or tourist planning on visiting for a good time, then take a look below at this month’s lineup of Las Vegas shows we are confident will be worth your penny.

1)  Usher at Caesars Palace

Usher Raymond IV makes his residency debut. Usher: The Las Vegas Residency is a foolproof Vegas plan for your weekend getaway. This R&B artist has consistently delivered top vocals and well-crafted dance routines for decades. This show is no different. The multi-talented showman gives the crowd “an immersive experience that only Usher can deliver,” according to the Caesar’s Palace website. These dynamic performances all take place in the coveted Caesar Colosseum and include a medley of songs that span across Usher’s 20+ year career. This residency just kicked off days ago (July 2021) and has already garnered rave reviews from sold-out shows and boat-loads of very impressive press.

This legend of comedy takes the stage this month and tickets are almost sold out of ALL showtimes for August. So, before you read any further: if you are a Jim Gaffigan fan, act fast and get tickets now before they’re all gone! As a part of his latest tour labeled The Fun Tour, this stand-up comedian is headed to Las Vegas to give us a hefty round of belly-laughs. Having been nominated for a whopping five Grammys spanning from 2013-2021, this seasoned actor and comedy star is sure to deliver on a fun-filled, laughable evening at the Encore Theatre. If you aren’t sure who Jim Gaffigan is, he is a hilarious 55-year-old comedian, actor, writer, and producer. There’s no shame in trying before you buy. 3) Bruno Mars at MGM

Superstar performer and musician Bruno Mars is headed to Vegas to wow the crowd. These tickets will go fast as the celeb recently announced he was pushing back his July showtimes into the month of August. So, be sure and search for more showtimes if you want to see this popstar shine on the strip at MGM this month. This eleven-time Grammy winner is known for songs such as “Grenade,” “That’s What I Like,” “Just The Way You Are,” and “Finesse.” He notably also gave us all the show of a lifetime while performing during the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show. If that performance taught us one thing, it’s that this man can put on one hell of a show.

4)  Michael Jackson ONE Cirque Du Soleil

Just when you think Cirque Du Soleil couldn’t get any better, they have outdone themselves with this Michael Jackson-themed show. According to Vegas.com, the show is all about “combining dance, music, and awe-inspiring visuals.” They also state that “Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque de Soleil brings alive Jackson’s creative genius in a new adventure.”  Since the 1980s, Cirque du Soleil has been entertaining the world with unparalleled new-age circus acts.

Although they were established in Canada, they astonish crowds around the globe with contemporary circus performances. Las Vegas is one of the group’s permanent homes in which they have a MASSIVE presence and are periodically refreshing their show offerings. Michael Jackson ONE is the second Michael-Jackson-based production by Cirque du Soleil which premiered in 2013. Although it’s been around for years, it is a fan favorite that is finally back up and running in Las Vegas, NV. After almost a year-long hiatus due to COVID, tickets are flying off the shelves to see this top-rated show.

5) Mac King Comedy Magic Show

We all know there’s magic in Las Vegas, and an endless roster of comedians, but this jack of all trades provides both in one highly rated show. With 4.8 Stars and hundreds of reviews on Google, we trust that this magical and hilarious performance is worth every dime. In addition, it’s impressive to note that The Mac King Comedy Show is allegedly Las Vegas’ longest-running magician at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. So, strap in for a good time. The proof is in the pudding.
